As we witness the systemic dehumanization and suffering of people all over the world many of us attempt to do what we can in order to stand in solidarity with those who are being silenced.
While we partake in our own iterations of activism feelings around the work can range from inspiring, hopeful, collaborative to exhausting, othering, and at times hopeless. We need space to honor and process all the feelings this work can bring up. Leaning on our community and allowing others to support us when things feel a bit too heavy is one of the many ways we can maintain our well-being so that we may continue to stand in solidarity with the causes that matter to us.
I am offering 4-6 low fee or no fee sessions to low income student protestors in California in order to support folks who may be holding more than they want to carry on their own. Fee is based on need in order to make this offering accessible to more of the community. Slots are offered on a first come first serve basis with the option to be waitlisted should I be full when you reach out. I will do this until I reach capacity at which point I can support in connecting students to other mental health services.
If you are a low income student protester and you are interested in this offering please schedule a consult call with me at calendly.com/danielasawickirivera.
